If we are to understand Islamism we should better understand those who invented it, spread it, finance it and serve as its violent vanguard: the Arabs. For them the passage of time heals nothing and their sense of grievance against the infidel world is therefore incurable. Their desire to return to the ways of the distant past seems less bizarre when we realize that for Arabs there is no distant past. Bear this in mind the next time you hear an Islamist fulminating against the Frankish Crusaders or the loss of al-Andaluz.ON THE KORAN!!!
